About Holidays on the Hill
How It All Began
Holidays on the Hill was officially established in June 2023, growing from our earlier initiative, Holidays on Salmon Falls. Our journey began with our special needs son’s excitement and joy in seeing Halloween and Christmas decorations displayed outside our home. One chilly winter night, the Grinch knocked on our door, and he has been a beloved part of our celebrations ever since.
From Family to Community
What started as a small family tradition soon grew into a community-wide effort. We began hosting food drives for Thanksgiving and Christmas, with Mr. Grinch spreading cheer by handing out toys and holiday goodies to those who stopped by with canned goods. Over time, our mission expanded to include providing meals, toys, and support for families in need.
Becoming a Nonprofit Organization
In January 2025, Holidays on the Hill officially became an independent, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, recognized by the IRS. This milestone reflected our commitment to serving the community with kindness, joy, and hope.
We are proud to be in good standing with the New Hampshire Charitable Trusts Unit and the New Hampshire Secretary of State, operating with transparency, accountability, and integrity in all we do.
Today and Beyond
Holidays on the Hill continues to grow with year-round events that unite our community, including petting zoos, decorating contests, toy and food drives, and family outreach programs that celebrate giving in every season.
